LEARNING BY DOING – A GUIDE TO SETTING UP A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE RUN BY YOUNG PEOPLE
Social Enterprise Europe has collaborated with Cantilever Partnership Ltd to publish an easy to use guide for all those working with young people who want to explore the exciting new world of social enterprise.

The guide aims to help teachers, youth workers and community workers open up the imaginations of young people, help them tap into concerns they may have about the environment, their community or the developing world and harness their energy and creativity into entrepreneurial solutions.

The book can act as a step-by-step guide or can be used as a reference by teachers and advisors throughout their involvement with young people even if they are not specifically working on a social enterprise project.

It is filled with bright ideas and stories based on real situations.  The guide has photocopiable handouts and guides on a variety of practical workshops that will help young people think through their enterprise ideas.

It is written in an easy style and is illustrated with colour photos that capture the excitement and opportunity of social enterprise.

The production of the book was supported by NESTA.  It retails at £24.99 and copies can be ordered by contacting the robin Hoods Bay office
